The Big Picture

It seems that the Big Picture often gets missed as we become bogged down in the everyday details of running our business. We find ourselves dealing with issues caused by situations seemingly out of our control. Then we lose focus. Our day is full yet our pocketbook is empty.

Fact is, if you are not producing a steady income, you will tend to take on business you know you shouldn’t be taking.  You then waste a lot of time and end up missing out on opportunities that should have been yours.

At Realty World our mantra is: Do More (business) and you’ll Make More (money) as you Have More (Fun) doing your job! To accomplish this, you must take time to look at the Big Picture:


  •   Are you working with buyers who won’t talk to a lender you recommend?
  •   Are you working with sellers who only want to sell, “If they can get their price” when their price is way above the current market?
  •   Do your clients think they know more about the real estate business than you?
  •   Do you take on business your “gut” tells you to avoid, even if that business comes from your broker?

We are happy to say that our agents successfully close more escrows. We believe part of the reason they do more is because they have learned what business they should refuse. Our agents are strong, confident, and productive because they took a look at their Big Picture and changed those parts they didn’t like.

them; we are inspired to do even better the next time.

Goals must be realistic.
They must require a little extra effort.
They must serve a purpose.
